Frequently Asked Questions

The Furry Godmother Doggy Daycare provides daytime activities for your furkid while you are busy. Dogs are mixed together for supervised playtime with others of similar in size, age and activity level.  Dogs learn how to be sociable, play nicely and take a few naps.

Why use Doggy Daycare?

Who can come?
Any dog 4 months or over that is fully vaccinated with a C5. Please note, dogs over 6 months must be desexed to attend the Winnellie Daycare Centre, and bitches that are on heat cannot attend the Darwin Airport Daycare Centre until after their season has ended.

Younger puppies can attend the Winnellie Daycare Centre, but please contact us first.

When can they come?
The Winnellie Daycare Centre is open between 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (closed Public Holidays)

The Darwin Airport Daycare Centre is open between 8.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (closed Public Holidays)

Furkids can be booked in for a half-day of daycare, up to five hours of playtime during the above times!

How do I book?
Bookings are essential. In order to properly supervise the dogs, and to maintain staff:pet ratios, group sizes are limited.  Bookings can be made at <link>, and reoccurring bookings can be made to secure your furkid’s place on specific days.

New to Doggy Daycare?

If this is your furkids first day of daycare at The Furry Godmother, please visit <link to admission form>.   We will then contact you to arrange a day and time for your dog’s first day, so we can assess their suitability.  Some dogs may not be suitable for daycare, or may be suited to one of our Daycare Centres but not the other - our trained staff will talk to you if we feel this is the case.
